Volunteer

When you volunteer at GO Fest…

…you are volunteering to help grow and shape the outdoor community in our region.  With a mission to connect people with the outdoors…and thus a healthy active lifestyle, GO Fest is committed to being a free event.  With your help we can showcase Roanoke to regional attendees and national brands that sponsor the event. The Roanoke Outside Foundation and RIMBA are the main beneficiaries of GO Fest and have used past proceeds and beer sales to build kayak launches, fund kayak park feasibility studies, help build bathrooms at Carvin’s Cove, promote regional resources, build trail, create community, host social rides and events, create new events and so much more!

Choose the position that best fits your interests and personal skills.  Some of the options include helping to answer questions, event set up & break down, directing people toward activities and show times, pouring beer, helping people to sort their recycling, and assisting vendors. Flexible shifts and guaranteed fun…what more could you ask for from a volunteer experience?

VOLUNTEER PERKS FOR 2018:

Thanks to Sawyer all volunteers will have a special lounge just for them to grab a snack, re-hydrate and refresh prior to heading out to your GO Fest shift. Afterwards check back later for additional swag. Speaking of swag, RECOVER Brand also is hooking up all volunteers with a wonderfully soft branded shirt made from 100% recycled materials.  We are grateful to all our partners who help us with the endeavor to make GO Fest the best event to volunteer for (with the most swag!).

Thanks to Press Press Merch for this year’s sweet new volunteer shirt design!
